Sightseeing in Innsbruck
Innsbruck is a town, which has grown historically. The rulers of the royal and imperial monarchy have left their architectural imprint since the time of its first heyday around 15.00. Buildings dating back to the Gothic time, the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Classicism invite visitors to a journey into the past: the Golden Roof, the Hofkirche church with its “schwarze Mander” statues, the Hofburg and the Schloss Ambras castle represent the time of the Habsburgs. Lovers of modern architecture and arts find futuristic examples of architecture today: the BTV-Stadtforum by Heinz Tesar of the ski jump designed by Zaha Hadid.
